I've been having fun with all the great Stix2 products again. I just loved the Die Cut Stencil sheet which gives the curly background (a Stizzix die).Just choose the die &die cut the sheet. Lay onto a piece of adhesive sheet (which has been attached to some white card) & cover with crystal glitter. Peel off the stencil & store away safely for next time & then cover the remaining exposed sticky surface with green glitter. The die cut flowers have been sculpted with a ball tool & shaded with a chalk inkpad. The centre cup shape has been made by  gluing the petals behind each other & then snipping with scissors to fringe them. The flowers have been assembled with the hot glue gun & then the centre filled with hot glue before covering with the seed beads from the set. The borders are made with the tapes in 2 widths & then covered with the seed beads, micro beads & glitter from the set.

Transfer Foils Toner and Laminator

For a while now we have been asked if our Transfer Foils can be used with a Toner ( Laser printer) and a laminator, we have happily been sending samples to those who have asked and then decided... Lets put them to the test?!?! Our wonderful demonstrator Kirsty Wiseman took on the task as she has previously experimented with this and the results were great!

Kirsty found they work excellent together and best with black ink.

Just for You Tag

Things you will need:

Large White Alteration Tag S57324
White Die Cut Butterflys S57291
Hot Melt Glue Gun S57234
Transfer Foils S57106
Stix2 Glue Stick S57073
Non Stick Crafting Sheet S57132

Purple Ink
Woodware Ink Brush
Patterned Stencils
Embossing Folder
"Just for You" Sentiment Stamp
Scissors
Satin Ribbon

Instructions:

Using the  Woodware brush, and Purple Ink, Cover the Tag with a dusting of ink. Placing the Crafting sheet underneath to get the edges without staining your surface underneath.

Use Stencils to add ink pattern in a darker colour of ink.

emboss the butterfly die cuts and colour with the inks.

Stick the butterfly's to the to tag using the Stix2 Glue Stick and trim off the edges where needed.

Using the Hot Melt Glue Gun create little dots down the back of the butterflys. Allow to cool and press the transfer foils on top to create the shiny dots. (Remember the Transfer foils are dull side down).

Stamp  your sentiment onto the tag and add ribbon to finish.

Hot Melt Glue Gun - Top Tip #4 - Transfer Foils

Using the Stix2 Hot Melt Glue Gun with any of the Transfer Foils makes great pearls or brads to add to any homemade project. 

For this technique you need to wait until the Hot Melt Glue has cooled off. You will know it has done this because it will turn a cloudy colour. Using your Foil (Dull side down) press hard onto the glue and rub. You will need to apply some pressure on this to make sure the transfer takes effect. 

The Foil will leave the shiny print on the glue for your project. 

This also works with the PVA Glue, but again wait for it to dry.
